JUST HANGING ON

I know that things between us
At the present don't seem right.
What once sparked and once glistened
No longer looks as bright.

Everyone searches for excuses
And a easy out.
Instead of sweat for success,
We would rather pout.

It's a disposable generation.
Razors, diapers, swimsuits and pens.
Cameras, lighters and marriages,
Even a contact lens.

We think that the grass is greener
On the other side.
That is just problem relocation,
We would rather run and hide.

Society is selfish and so lazy.
Now there is no shame.
Instead of seeking solutions,
It's much easier to blame.

I don't want to be a failure,
I made a vow to you.
I hope that you truly feel the same.
As the way I do.
