Hide N Seek

Well I fell in love once, a long time ago,
So I tried some wedding cake.
What tasted good for a while
Soon gave me a belly ache.
Everything was fine with that spouse of mine,
We had our share of fun.
Then I realized that when he said I do,
He meant with everyone.

Then and there I swore
I'd love no more,
My heart would be put on a shelf.
There was no way
I'd give it away,
I would keep it for myself!

CHORUS

No don't ever, ever say never,
You'll be in for a surprise,
A blindfold will only cover the eyes.
Well, the heart sees differently,
It's always going to peek.
Love sometimes plays hide n seek.

I was under stress, my life was a mess,
So my heart and I went on the run.
We ran the town, and really partied down,
With loyality to no one.
Single and cold was getting quite old,
Not at all what it's cracked up to be.
The more I ran away from finding love,
The more I ran away from me!

CHORUS

No don't ever, ever say never,
You'll be in for a surprise,
A blindfold will only cover the eyes.
Well, the heart sees differently,
It's always going to peek.
Love sometimes plays hide n seek.

Now explain to me about destiny,
Why things are never carved in stone?
What happened to my plan of not having a man?
So much for being alone.
Then suddenly, what a shock to me,
Now I am confused.
Because of you, I have to eat and chew
That never word that I once used.

Now the love is real, oh what a deal,
God works for our own sake.
The words are tasting fine, and now it's time
To try some more wedding cake!

CHORUS

No don't ever, ever say never,
You'll be in for a surprise,
A blindfold will only cover the eyes.
Well, the heart sees differently,
It's always going to peek.
Love sometimes plays hide n seek.
