Stranger In A Loveless Land

I'm looking for love, and I'm not faring well.
Maybe I'll find it, but only time will tell.
A loving heart is so tough to sell.
Is anyone looking for a deal
On a loving heart that's real?
I don't want money, nor do I want fame,
This heart is not a toy for a game.
Is there someone out there that feels the same?
Then I'm looking just for you,
For a loving heart that's true.

Love, Acceptance and Security.
Oh, what a great life that would be.
To be loved for simply being me.
Does anyone out there understand,
Or am I just a stranger in a loveless land?

I need someone who'll love me exclusively,
The way that God meant it to be,
Who'll spend their time loving, not changing me.
Will you be there tomorrow too,
Like I will be for you?
My arms are open to hold you tight.
To see me in love would be a sight.
Is there someone who'll take away the lonely night?
I'll give away this heart for free
To that someone who's meant for me.

Love, Acceptance and Security.
Oh, what a great life that would be.
To be loved for simply being me.
Does anyone out there understand,
Or am I just a stranger in a loveless land?

I know you're out there somewhere, someplace.
Come and claim these sweet kisses for your face.
Take away this lonliness and leave no trace.
Staring into your eyes that gleam,
Or are you just a foolish dream?

Love, Acceptance and Security.
Oh, what a great life that would be.
To be loved for simply being me.
Does anyone out there understand,
Or am I just a stranger in a loveless land?
