THANK YOU TEACHER

I want to thank you, teacher
For the patience that you've shown me,
Especially when I can't focus on
What you want for me to see.

You never give up on a child,
Teaching all students bad or good,
And for not getting the recognition
Or the wages which you should.

Often caught up in the middle
Without support from parents or the school,
Educating is your sole concern,
Using every possible tool.

You have an enormous impact
On our lives in the years ahead,
So I thank you now, ahead of time
While it can be said.
